All About Skin Yeast Infections

Yeast is always present in your body. It is even found on the skin, and can cause skin yeast infections in some individuals. A skin yeast infection is actually quite common, and can be very annoying. Yeast infections on the skin are usually found in any area that doesn’t get to breathe as well. This could be places like your underarms, underneath your breasts, around your loins, or anywhere else where there is consistent skin on skin contact.

A yeast infection on the skin will often look like a rash, and it will have an odor of yeast similar to that of a vaginal yeast infection. Because this type of infection is common where the skin folds over on itself, it may not be noticed right away. Those who are obese and have a lot of skin folds are generally at a higher risk of getting such an infection.
