While mouths can be a breeding ground for bacteria, they can also contain fungus. That’s what happens when you acquire a thrush yeast infection.

Usually newborns, infants, and toddlers acquire this disorder. A fungus called “Candida albicans” causes it. When this plant infects the mouth of a child, it becomes “oropharyngeal Candidiasis.”
